Wow! Cara I think you win for reader farthest from Alabama! The bow is made of netting that is pretty common in in the Southern US. It is about 3 feet wide and gathers ands sticks to itself very easily. For the pieces coming down, we cut 3 pieces and just started at the top and gathered it folding a branch over it to hold it in place (I have an artificial tree, if you have a real one just use wire or pipe cleaners). My friend tara made the bow. She watched youtube videos to figure it out. Instead of making the tradition bow with loops on two different sides, she gathered them all together and then tied it to the top of the tree with a pipe cleaner. We added an additional loop on the bag to cover the pipe cleaner. Then just fluff the blow to get the shape you want. Just get on youtube and watch some videos if this doesn't make any sense.
