Trunk-n-Treat 09

Our "trunk"- we went with a farm theme. The last two years we have based our themes on what we have. We borrowed all our stuff this year from Stephen's parent, grandparents and our front porch.

Bama Football 2009

Went to our first game of the season yesterday. Bama played Arkansas. We had made plans to tailgate and spend the day on campus despite the constant rain we have had for the last two weeks. We got there really early and got to visit and grill out with the Blakes. We also got to see the Higginbothams, too! It was great to see them. The rain held off all morning but then the bottom fell out about the time we started packing up to head to the stadium. We will had a blast despite the rain and all the mud. And of course Alabama won so that made for a great day too! Ready for the next game!

Taking a pic with Big Al:

The Higginbothams with Big Al:

Had to get a picture in front of the stadium since we did this last year. Its now a tradition:

We got soaked!!!! But still had fun:

Stephen did not have a rain coat so he had to buy a poncho. I think the athletic association made a killing on these yesterday:

Waiting for the game to start. It was still raining but thank goodness we were covered once we got in our seats! Thanks for the seats, Rectors!

True fans tailgate all day no matter the weather:

Canton

We went to Canton this weekend to spend time with my family. Our friends have a cabin there that they let us use. We just hung out, played games, played the Wii and visited. It was a nice time and so good to see some Pourciaus. We also celebrated Dad's birthday while we were there. He is all into cycling right now so I had him a cake to go with that hobby.

Lucy's Birthday

Lucy turned 4 last week. She wanted an owl party. This cake was based on her invitation that was designed by Jenny Holloway. Her mom made the cutest cookies to match the cake. To see her mom's designs click on the cookie mama button on the side of my blog. Her cookies are so cute and taste great!
